Police in Austria have taken a driver into custody after finding 400,000 ecstasy pills in his truck.
The haul,was on its way to Istanbul from Amsterdam when it was discovered in the truck at a terminal in the Austrian province of Wels, worth an estimated €4 million on the street.
The driver told authorities he was paid €10,000 to smuggle the drugs to Turkey in five barrels, two boxes and a tote bag hidden behind kitchen appliances.
Austrian Finance Ministry member Andrea Doczy said an accomplice had been arrested in Germany and they were searching for more suspects.
